Subsea Pipleine Ireland – UK Gas Interconnector 1 Energy & Pipelines
The Subsea Pipeline is 24” in diameter and is designed for 148 bar, It traverses three Jurisdictions and is trenched in sea bottom conditions ranging from sand waves and soft clays to hard till and boulder clays.
The Subsea pipeline was laid in a 54-day period from 1st March 1993 to 23rd April 1993. The water depth ranged up to 110 metres and the Laybarge DLB 1601 achieved a record for daily pipelay of 24” subsea pipe with 6,048 metres.
