MDM were responsible for the planning, design, permitting, procurement and installation supervision of the Scylla subsea telecoms cable, from Lowestoft in the UK to IJmuiden in the Netherlands.

The system required many innovative design and installation solutions including sand wave mobility studies, trenching and micro-routing through sand wave fields, and an innovative HDD solution at the IJmuiden landfall.

The system was installed in 2021 and MDM have ongoing responsibilities for the Operations & Maintenance of the Scylla subsea system on behalf of euNetworks.
